The Pastor´s Son

To those of you who call yourselves Christians, take your time to read this article and reflect on it.... because I know of some "Christians" who actually will react the way these Churchgoers reacted in the article.

If Jesus / God can forgive.... who are WE as sinners to condemn?

The Pastor’s Son

Author Unknown

Like many inspiring movies and books, this short story may be fictional. However, the impact that this work will have on its readers is very real. Enjoy!

One night in a church service a young woman felt the tug of God at her heart. She responded to God's call and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior.

The young woman had a very rough past, involving alcohol, drugs, and prostitution. But, the change in her was evident. As time went on she became a faithful member of the church.

She eventually became involved in the ministry, teaching young children.

It was not very long until this faithful young woman had caught the eye and heart of the pastor's son. The relationship grew and they began to make wedding plans.

This is when the problem began. You see, about one half of the church did not think that a woman with a past such as hers was suitable for a pastor's son.

The church began to argue and fight about the matter. So they decided to have a meeting.

As the people made their arguments and tensions increased, the meeting was getting completely out of hand.

The young woman became very upset about all the things being brought up about her past.

As she began to cry the pastor's son stood to speak. He could not bear the pain it was causing his wife to be. He began to speak and his statement was this:

My fiancee's past is not what is on trial here. What you are questioning is the ability of the blood of Jesus to wash away sin. Today you have put the blood of Jesus on trial. So, does it wash away sin or not?

The whole church began to weep as they realized that they had been slandering the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Too often, even as Christians, we bring up the past and use it as a weapon against our brothers and sisters.

Forgiveness is a very foundational part of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

If the blood of Jesus does not cleanse the other person completely, then it cannot cleanse us completely.

If that is the case, then we are all in a lot of trouble.

What can wash away my sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

The bride that has no shame......

Looking at something different today, I stumbled upon an article that talks about how a bride writes a message to one of her wedding guests and tells them off about the giving of so little "ang pao" during the bride´s wedding. Somehow, I wonder why do people turn and become so greedy nowadays....... not only for weddings, also applying for Chinese New Year when people start criticising and calculating  on the number of "Ang paos" they receive or the amount inside the tiny little red packet........

The world and people has turned so money minded that they don´t even know the word shame anymore. And reading this article proves alot. Entitled " Funny Responses to bride who asks wedding guests why they give only $100 " (Clickable link), this article really shows that this bride doesn´t know her manners at all. The costs of the wedding dinner and such, doesn´t fall on the guests but on the married couple. No one asks them to do such a lavish wedding. And if they do choose it, then it is up to them and both their families (The man and the woman´s family) to bear the burden of the cost!

Lol..... like one of my friend in facebook says *and quote* "That is one hell of a fcked up bitch!"

Happy reading folks!

Funny responses to bride who asked wedding guests why they gave only $100
This article was contributed by the STOMP Team.

A bride rudely questioned wedding guests about their shared gift of $100. This prompted netizens to give their own humorous replies.

The wedding guest, Tanya, went to Huffington Post with her story. She said:
"Last weekend I attended a wedding of a not-close friend with my boyfriend and as a gift we gave $100 cash. This was generous considering my financial situation. I just finished university with $40,000 in student loans, and have only found part time (12-18 hrs per week) minimum wage work. I gave as much as I could and attended to show my support.

"Today I received a rude and condescending message from the bride via Facebook messenger:

"'Hi Tanya, how are you? I just want to know is there any reason or dissatisfaction of Mike's and I wedding that both you and Phil gave 50$ each? In terms of the amount we got from you both was very unexpected as a result we were very much short on paying off the reception because just for the cocktail + reception alone the plate per person is 200$ (as per a normal wedding range with open bar is about) and Mike and I both have already paid for everything else including decor, photography, attire etc and didn't expect we had to cover that huge amount for reception as well. As I know you both live together and work, so I did not see any reason for that amount, when it comes to your wedding hopefully you'll know what I mean. I hope for the best as from what we receive is what we will give back. Anyways, good luck on everything." [all sic]'

"It's infuriating that she had the nerve to make assumptions about my finances, and assume that I or my boyfriend had an extra $400 lying around.

"Those $100 were hard-earned and she didn't show an ounce of gratitude for what she did receive. That money didn't grow on a tree.

"If she had a minimum gift requirement, she should have specified it...or asked everyone for income statements before inviting them."
Meanwhile, netizens responded to the message with their own versions of replies to the bride.

One said, 'I feel sorry for your new husband', while another decided that what is sent via Facebook should be circulated on Facebook: 'I wouldn't say anything but I'd post it on Facebook and tag her. She should be publicly embarrassed for that.' Another suggested selling tickets to the wedding instead.

Experts that Huffington Post spoke to agreed that the bride should not have sent the message as 'The expense and the cost of the wedding is solely the responsibility of the bride, groom, and their families,' and 'There is a disgusting trend emerging where people are not only passing judgment about the gifts they receive, but they are verbalizing it.'

French same-sex couple: Why we tied the knot

Quote from the article : "One of the reasons we want children is because children have no judgement, and we want to break down society's barriers."

Everyone of us may have our different opinions of every different things and matters under the bright blue skies, but we should also not condemn others for their way of life. What they say is true, best way to "educate"... is start young. Don´t be prejudice or judgmental just because someone is slightly different from you.

France's first same-sex wedding

STORY HIGHLIGHTS
  • Two men explain why they have become France's first same-sex married couple
  • Bruno Boileau said he loved Vincent Autin's "charisma, sensibility, determination"
  • They also want to build family and teach future generations to end prejudices
  • Couple thank those who helped win controversial right for gay couples to marry
Montpellier (CNN) -- Two men who have become France's first same-sex married couple have opened their hearts about the special qualities in each other that made them want to spend the rest of their lives together.
In the nervous minutes leading up to Wednesday's groundbreaking ceremony in the southern city of Montpellier, Bruno Boileau said he adored Vincent Autin's "charisma, his ability to appease me, calm me down ... also his sensibility and his determination."
And returning the warmth, Autin told CNN in the couple's only interview on their wedding day: "What I love about him is his objectivity and the way he protects me. He is my great protector."
But their marriage is not just about their love; they also want to build a family and, perhaps, teach future generations how to break down prejudices.

Open Mic: Same-sex marriage

A day in the life of same-sex marriage
"We want children, we want to pass down values that are important to us, that we hold dear, that are right. And we want grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a real family," Autin said.
"One of the reasons we want children is because children have no judgement, and we want to break down society's barriers."
He added that "when French children are born into this world, they are born with the same rights as everyone else -- but from the moment you said you were a homosexual, society deprived you of some of those rights. Today the French Republic has given these rights back to us."
The 40-year-old, who works for Montpellier's tourism office, expressed his gratitude to those who had helped win the controversial right for same-sex couples to marry, legislation that was signed into law 10 days ago by President Francois Hollande.
"We are very nervous, but obviously excited. This is a step forward for France. What's happened today is thanks to everybody who has been so mobilized over the past few months."
The change in the law has not been without its opponents, prompting sometimes-violent demonstrations of hundreds of thousands of people across France. "It's very sad that they turned violent," Autin said. "It's always so surprising to feel so attacked, but you must remember this was a minority and most people are in favor. This proves that love can triumph over hatred."
"So thankful to those who helped us come to this moment. Some of the people we're referring to have passed away, such as Harvey Milk [the first openly gay American elected to public office] who was a great inspiration."
Autin described how the couple met seven years ago. While surfing the net at the same time, they both chanced on an online fan forum for a pop star who found fame on a show similar to "Pop Idol." A group of people decided to go for lunch, after which he and Boileau, a 30-year-old civil servant, became inseparable.
Like many a couple tying the knot, Autin declined to give details about what outfits they would wear, but he did confide what both parties hoped to get out of the big day: "Obviously love, but also a great party."

The Royal Wedding Commences

29th April 2011.....

The day has arrived... and today is the royal wedding..... the Royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. Thankfully, the weather was bright and sunny and perfect for a wedding!!! :D

Amazing how many people take the opportunity to just travel all the way to London to see this wedding in person...... but then again, somehow I guess it would boosts UK´s economy more *grins*

Prince William and Catherine Middleton say their vows

You can actually find the whole wedding live, from the arrival of the guests since 8am in the morning till now when the newly weds exchange their vows from the TV, to the internet to live streams online!

Kate Middleton looks extremely stunning in her self designed wedding gown, although I have to admit that she does look kinda thinner than the many months I have seen her pics online and such.... maybe she is overstressed from preparing for the wedding that she lost many many many kgs... :-x

The internet is congested at the moment. Video streams are kinda laggy.... and most funnily... I am watching the wedding translated into german on TV as the video streams crack down online -.-

But you can still watch it if you want.... at The Royal Channel where you can watch it in youtube quality, thanks to Denise for linking it into facebook...... it was definitely much better quality in picture wise and sound wise compared to the one I found via searching in Google.....

And now... back to the TV to watch the remaining of the wedding......

ps : Prince William ain´t looking as adorable and handsome as when I first "crush" on him when we were little kids... *ROFL*
