29th April 2011.....
The day has arrived... and today is the royal wedding..... the Royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. Thankfully, the weather was bright and sunny and perfect for a wedding!!! :D
Amazing how many people take the opportunity to just travel all the way to London to see this wedding in person...... but then again, somehow I guess it would boosts UK´s economy more *grins*
You can actually find the whole wedding live, from the arrival of the guests since 8am in the morning till now when the newly weds exchange their vows from the TV, to the internet to live streams online!
Kate Middleton looks extremely stunning in her self designed wedding gown, although I have to admit that she does look kinda thinner than the many months I have seen her pics online and such.... maybe she is overstressed from preparing for the wedding that she lost many many many kgs... :-x
The internet is congested at the moment. Video streams are kinda laggy.... and most funnily... I am watching the wedding translated into german on TV as the video streams crack down online -.-
But you can still watch it if you want.... at The Royal Channel where you can watch it in youtube quality, thanks to Denise for linking it into facebook...... it was definitely much better quality in picture wise and sound wise compared to the one I found via searching in Google.....
And now... back to the TV to watch the remaining of the wedding......
ps : Prince William ain´t looking as adorable and handsome as when I first "crush" on him when we were little kids... *ROFL*

So the government finally sees the dangers and the stupidity and the seriousness of the corruptions and the leakages in the country and is finally... and I repeat, FINALLY taking more drastic actions to make it a better place..... but.... is it too late? Can the country still be saved with their drastic actions now, after this has been like happening for god knows how many donkey years ago?

There are no funny antics or naked limbs in this video but it became a hit on YouTube the minute it was uploaded.
WE all seem to know someone or someone who knows someone who has been a victim of a smash-and-snatch theft. Last week, Kuala Lumpur chief police officer Deputy Comm Datuk Zulkifli Abdullah was reported as saying such cases were on the decline but the way people are talking, it seems this “new variation” of street crime is rampant.
In this evolved form of the crime, instead of preying on pedestrians, the snatch thieves “attack” lone motorists when they are waiting for the traffic lights to change at junctions or when they are stuck in peak hour traffic.
On their motorcycles, usually with a partner, the culprits would tail the driver they are targeting and wait for the opportune time to smash the car window and grab the victim's valuables.
Too many, especially women, have fallen victims to these unscrupulous criminals. Unfortunately, these crimes are difficult to solve as they are committed in the blink of an eye.
However, it might just change if a new phenomenon catches on video evidence from in-car video surveillance camera. Such video evidence was uploaded on YouTube early this month, creating an online sensation.
Shot from a car that was behind the victim's car, the 23-second video clip captured the street crime as it unfolded in Section 16, Petaling Jaya.
The footage shows two men on a motorcycle approaching the car at a traffic light junction. Within seconds, the pillion rider had smashed the passenger window, grabbed the driver's bag and sped off.
The video recorded 89,000 hits a week after it went online. As of yesterday, over 335,000 people have viewed it. Even the owner of the footage, security consultant Benjamin Seow, is amazed at how his video has caught on.
“The main reason I uploaded the video on YouTube was to get in touch with the victim. I feel a bit guilty for not doing more to help her on that day and I thought that at the very least, I should pass her the video for use as evidence in her case,” says Seow who is known as Bigggmouth online.
As he explains, he had wanted to stop and help the victim, but she drove off before he could do anything. “I wound my car window down and gestured to her to stop by the road side but she was frozen in shock. As soon as she recovered, she drove away.
“I was a bit disappointed but I guess she must have been so traumatised that the sight of me this strange man excitedly flailing his arms at her frightened her more,” he says.
He admits that he has received some flak from Netizens who criticised him for not helping her when it happened. There were others who accused him of using her misfortune to get cheap publicity.
However, he is not letting the nasty comments bother him as through YouTube he has managed to connect with the victim and agreed to be a witness in the police investigation of her case.
The victim, 26-year-old occasions architect Chen Qian, admits that she was so distressed after the incident that all she wanted to do was to get to the police station straightaway.
“I was on my way to church in that area and had left my handbag on the front passenger's seat. When the thieves smashed my window, I honestly thought someone was going to hurt or kill me. I screamed my lungs out and tried honking but the (traffic) light had changed so I thought it was best to get out of the way,” she recalls. And when she saw the thieves driving straight on, she knew she would not be able to catch up with them.
“I was so far behind the traffic. In any case, I wouldn't know what to do even if I had. I was still in shock so I picked up my friend from Damansara and made a report at the SS2 police station immediately.
“On hindsight, I wish I had stayed where I was because I could have asked if any of the other drivers had managed to catch the motorcycle's number plate,” she says. Seow believes that snatch thieves choose their crime sites carefully to prevent other motorists from helping the victims.
“Usually they will pick busy roads to make it difficult for other motorists to stop them. I would not have thought twice about ramming my car into them on that day but there was no way I could move my car, much less catch up to them,” he says.
After witnessing the crime for himself, Seow says he can now understand the shock and trauma that victims go through in such incidents. “Everything happened so fast that I too needed time to recover, and I was just a witness. Many times people blame the victim for not reacting fast enough.”
He feels it is also why the video had a lot of hits: “People are simply shocked at how fast the crime was carried out only a few seconds.” Seow says he installed his in-car CCTV equipment about a year ago but this was the first time that he had caught such a crime on camera.
“I got interested in the in-car video system when I saw how many cars in Japan and Korea have these cameras. In fact, over there the in-car cameras are now provided when you buy a new car.
“I realised that it made a lot of sense to have such an equipment. When you get involved in an accident or when something happens to your wife or children in the car or when they get out of the car, you have evidence.”
But he stresses that the in-car camera cannot be a deterrent for unwanted incidents. “In Japan and Korea, for example, they are used to settle disputes in accidents,” he says. Still, Seow encourages drivers to instal a surveillance camera in their car. “If more people have it, they can help prevent street crime.”
He says the surveillance cameras are available in any electrical shop and even on the Net. “You can search online where many cameras from China and Taiwan are available. Once you have bought one, you can get it installed at any car accessory shop. It is very simple to mount.” The footage initially gave Chen hope of seeing her case resolved.
“When I saw the video, my first thought was, that's my car!' I was actually quite traumatised when the robbery happened, and watching it again made me relive the experience.
“But after the initial shock, I was hopeful that perhaps the video managed to capture the thieves' number plate, and that I should try to get in touch with the videographer' so that I can hand the information over to the police,” she shares.
She left a message for Seow, and their correspondence soon started. Last Monday, they went to make a police report at the Sea Park (SS2) p olice station. There, they were told that the crime scene falls under the Taman Tun Dr Ismail jurisdiction and they had to go there to make the report and send the evidence.
“The inspector I spoke to was polite but didn't seem to know anything about the video on YouTube. I think she probably doesn't watch YouTube.” Chen says she did not really expect the police to catch the guys but she wishes that a bit more had been done.
Like Chen, Seow is also disappointed that the crime seems to be low on the police's priority list. “There is so much that t he police can do,” he says, pointing out that the particular spot at Section 16 seems to be a hot area for smash-and-snatch thieves.
One problem, he feels, is that too many drivers, especially women drivers, are still careless about their safety. “Many leave their handbags on the passenger seat, which makes them easy targets. The snatch thieves seem to make their decision on that basis.”
Chen agrees and is now advising fellow women drivers to stay vigilant always. “Do not put your handbag on the passenger seat. Lock your doors. Keep your phone with you. Don't put all your money in your handbag. Keep some cash on you.” She says that before the incident, she tended to drive on autopilot, especially on a route that she takes often.
“But since the robbery, I have been more cautious and look in the rear view and side mirrors often, especially when motorcyclists come close.” More importantly, advises Seow, drivers should secure their car by installing security film or safety tint on their side windows.
“It is about profiling for the criminals. If I was a snatch thief, I will not choose a car that is armoured' or strong. I'll choose a small, weak' car, with windows that are not tinted or secured. I'll chose a woman driver because they are easier targets and are more vulnerable,” he says.
That is another reason why he uploaded the video on YouTube, he says: to raise awareness of the dangers of the crime so that it can be prevented. “It can happen to anyone yourself, your wife, your mother, your sister, your daughters.” Crucially, he hopes to get the word out there to the snatch thieves: “You are being videoed and may not get away so easily next time.”

Baking our hearts out
Another nice sunny Sunday morning we had......
This time, we didn´t spend our time out in the woods under the sun. We did something different instead. Baking!!!!
Amelia was fascinated with baking..... as I have never done it back home after having her (And I barely touch the kitchen for many reasons) she was altogether interested in watching us baking instead of sitting in the hallway watching tv...... Was just a simple cake we baked, a simple chocolate sponge cake. It came out a success actually, and coming to a great conclusion.... we should do baking together once a month! Messing ourselves in the kitchen and all... ;) Guess I need to start researching and google up for more baking recipes via the internet! Its hard to get recipe books down here as my German is superbly low at the moment..... Would take ages before I am that a professional to start cooking or even baking via a German book! Hahahaha But then..... I just got this recipe from the chocolate milk powder box we bought for Amelia to drink ;)
So hence we decided to try it out cos it wasn´t that difficult and we managed to get all the ingredients from it at just one spot... :)
Mixing of ingredients was fast... didn´t have to take hours, just..... 30 mins before we are done... though we were sneaking taste from it occasionally.. OMG... the chocolate cream that was produced out from it is deliciously wonderful!!!! Then..... before everything finishes, we finally put the "donut" cake into the oven to be baked for 1 hour...... Amelia was jumping happily and kept asking when is it done all the time! Hahahaha She is getting very extremely impatient to start eating the cake we started baking ^^
But... overall, the cake turned out a success.... I´m happy and satisfied about it... being able to do such stuff together as a family. It´s indeed something I always wished for....... doing things together as a family.... and not half done....
Speaking of half done.....
We had webcam with my parents today and also with my ex husband (this I was genuinely surprised). AMazingly, a lot of emotions streamed through me seeing him via webcam, and even more seeing him having tears in his eyes..... Sometimes I wished that life would be one less complicating... especially on me and my ex husband. I wonder if we would ever be able to reconcile and be friends, good friends at least .... for our daughter´s sakes. But oh well.. who am I to even ask and think of it?
Some emotions are better left closed up forever... especially when we have both moved on.... especially me. But..... I am only human...... and it´s 12 long years with many memories good and bad with him.
But I guess, like a post from a fellow friend, titled Reconciliation in Love, its something I would really wanna try doing, although its now only to be maintained as friends. Sometimes, I guess I will always forever and ever love him, like what I always told him when we were together

The Remarkable wonders of Spring
Ahhh... the remarkable wonder of nature!
I still am so amazed and astounded with the beauty of mother nature.... I always thought mother nature was beautiful... but never have I known that it would be this extremely beautiful!
Watching the flowers and the trees starting to bloom and catching some of these fascinating shots on camera, am being absolutely lucky to be able to do so also!
With the coming of spring, one would also think that the weather would be extremely good and sunny..... but.... alright alright... we have the sun..... sometimes the sun is shining ever so brightly in the sky that you´d think you´d get scorched by it! But... the cold gentle breeze blows by and keeps you nice and cool while the sun shines ever so warmly on the skin!
And most amazingly, living in an apartment gives us the privileges of looking out our window and just watching the trees at the opposite road or somewhere further away blooming ever so greenly!
With all the colors in spring, everyone around is busy planting flowers and busy buying potted and flowery plants to plant either in their gardens or into flower pots to place it on the balcony........ Myself.... I have been very interested in starting a small gardening place, although unluckily at the moment our house doesn´t come with a balcony..... At least I would feel safer knowing baby isn´t stuck at the balcony or so ^^
But there are many advantages of having a balcony... one of it is... doing laundry at home is much simpler as we can hang our clothes up on the balcony..... at the moment, hanging it inside the house or.... over the heater to dry is so not convenient... *lolx*
Don´t get me wrong.. I am happy to have a home of our own... a place that is solely ours... no other people´s influence... no parents or in laws to interfere like back then.... Design or decide or what to do with our own home on ourselves without anyone saying what is good or what is bad.... Sometimes I wish that it was like this all the time.... maybe without my parents or his parents influencing us all the time plus his friends.... maybe, just maybe, we wouldn´t have divorced.
But... that´s all in the past... it´s already 3 years down the road.... No looking back.... *lolx* just speculating..... xD
Anyways... back to Spring time.....
I have encountered many various types of extraordinary flowers.... some that just blooms only on a specific time and some only at certain places...... For example this white flower with the yellow centre.... apparently, this is known as the Easter flower, that only blooms during Easter time! WOw..... and most of all.. it comes in many colors!!!! This is just one of the few colors that I took....
And worse of all was.... I just forgotten to bring the camera out today when I was out and about together with my daughter!!! *Careless me*
Guess I better keep my camera in my handbag then I wont forget (Though I change bags every time we go out -.-)

Raped by stepdad for 15 years
Finally... after days of being down.... the website to The Star Online newspaper is finally up.... and most interestingly... the first headlines of the day that caught my eye.... a poor girl who has been raped by her stepfather since the age of 11...... and for 15 years long he has been raping and abusing that poor girl repeatedly... and no action was taken even after being reported...
Sometimes I just can´t help but wonder on the safeness of being in Malaysia.... well.. I know it´s a free from War and such country compared to the western world, we are kinda "secluded" in our own strange way and definitely outdated compared to the whole world.... but..... we can´t keep our future generations safe from such morons, such monsters......

Raped by stepdad for 15 years
By RASHITHA A. HAMID

KUALA LUMPUR: After seven abortions and being raped repeatedly by her stepfather since she was a child, a 28-year-old woman fled her home in Kedah.
The victim, who wished to be known only as Zt, said she became her stepfather's sex slave after he first raped her when she was only 11-years-old.
“My mother had no idea of what was happening all these years.
“She only knew when I revealed everything before leaving the house,” she said, adding that her stepfather forbade her to mingle with other people.
“He raped me at our house, in the jungle or at his rented house after fetching me from school,” she told reporters at the office of MCA Public Services and Complaints Department head Datuk Michael Chong here yesterday.
She was accompanied by Umno Youth community complaints bureau head Datuk Muhammad Khairun Aseh.
Still afraid, Zt refused to disclose where she had sought refuge nor divulge her full identity.
Zt said she feared her 58-year-old stepfather would come looking for her.
She had lodged a police report in Penang against the man after running away in December 2008.
“The case was transferred to Kedah but no action was taken against my stepfather,” she claimed.
“He used to threaten me, saying no action could be taken against him as he has friends in the police force,” Zt said, adding that the man would beat her up if she refused his request for sex.
She had had enough after almost 15 years of torture and brutality.
Chong said his department had enough evidence to hand over to Bukit Aman to nab the suspect.

Man beats pregnant wife over food cravings
Today I found another article which is quite heartbreaking..... a man beating up his poor 4 month old pregmant wife just because she has food cravings during her pregnancy......
I guess he must have been a complete idiot, who probably is just "fucking" till he "accidentally" makes his wife pregnant... but don´t wanna "share" the burden of having a child........
Thankfully... when I was first pregnant, my husband never knew about it. I hid my pregnancy well from him... though I doubt he would accompany me much with my food cravings, as he wasn´t even there for me when I went for my monthly check ups with the doctors...... He was either completely busy with his work (he was actually married to his work and not me) or busy with his gaming.... I remember those fights we had when I insisted he accompany me to the doc... which resulted him never going.... though I managed to only persuade him to go with me twice..... even with a black face.... ROFL.....
Ahhhh those good old memories.... painful, sweet, happy and also sad memories *sighs*
Anyways...... here´s sharing the article for you all

Man beats pregnant wife over food cravings
OTHER NEWS & VIEWS
Compiled by SIMON KHOO, NG SI HOOI and A. RAMAN
A FOUR-MONTH pregnant woman was punched and kicked by her husband after she asked him to look for two types of “rare” food in the middle of the night.
Harian Metro reported that the woman, aged 28, had developed a craving for various types of delicacies and fruits which were difficult to find.
Previously, the husband, in his 30s, had obliged her requests but this time his emotions got the better of him and he lost his temper.
In the latest incident on Tuesday, the woman again pestered her husband to look for buah kelur and lempuk durian when he returned to their house in Bandar Baru Sentul from work at 11pm.
“The husband blew his top and scolded his wife.
“The couple argued for a good 20 minutes before he lost control of his anger and started punching and kicking his wife,” a source said.
The wife contacted a friend to send her to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital for a check-up before lodging a police report.
Sentul OCPD Asst Comm Zakaria Pagan confirmed the incident, adding that an investigation would be carried out.
