Killed just for jumping a red light in Malaysia?! *Wow*

So, it´s another sad sad day... reading sad sad articles on the tyranny of Malaysia and the abusing of power from the police force.

I never knew that jumping a red light in Malaysia would mean getting arrested and killed by the police. But then again, the police are so "nice" in covering their sorry arses by saying that the victim had a heart failure and etc. Why are police using brute force on citizens? Do they even really know how to do their job properly?

Seeing the article " Killed for jumping a red light? " (Clickable link) found in FMT and then the video interview found in youtube that apparently is going viral in facebook really brings and sparks anger..... I would love to see justice served, especially for the poor victims´family.... but then again, will justice really be served as the people who are wrong are the people who have the "most power" in the country?

One can only pray for the better of the country

Another case of unnecessary police violence, says Puchong MP Gobind.
VIDEO INSIDE
KUALA LUMPUR: An alleged traffic offender died last week after he was arrested and manhandled by four police officers in Medan Imbi, Puchong MP Gobind Singh Deo told a press conference today.
Gobind said the assault occurred at a restaurant and he had seen a video recording of it that was shot by a patron.
A report in China Press quoted police sources as saying that the victim, 53-year-old Chong Foo Ming, was foaming at the mouth after he was restrained and handcuffed. The report said police tried to flag him down after he had beaten a red light, but he sped off.
Gobind condemned the police action, saying the violence was unnecessary.
“Mr Chong was roughened up by a group of police officers,” he said. “After he was handcuffed, he was forced to lay down facing the ground . And then one of the police officers sat on top of him.
“If he had beaten a red light, why the need to apprehend him in that way?”
It is learnt that the policemen contacted an ambulance after noticing that Chong was foaming at the mouth. But he was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
Gobind said police had used excessive force and called for a thorough investigation.
Initial police reports said Chong died of a heart failure, but according to his daughter Doriss, the hospital found no heart complications or internal injuries.
“We demand an answer from the police,” Gobind said. “This victim was a very healthy man. This is confirmed by the hospital. The police cannot expect the family to sit back doing nothing. An explanation is needed.”
He said he would write to the Inspector General of Police today.
Gobind acknowledged that the cause of death was still uncertain.
“We are waiting for the chemist’s report,” he said. “First they claimed it was a heart attack, which was wrong. There was nothing wrong with the victim’s heart. We are waiting for a second opinion before we can confirm the cause of death.”
Distraught daughter
Doriss Chong said the officer in charge of the investigation initially told her that her father had been involved in an accident.
She said she learned about his alleged beating only when she went to the restaurant to retrieve his wallet. A witness told her that one of the policemen sat on Chong’s back for 30 minutes.
“The police called and said it was an accident,” Doriss told the press conference. “But later I was told that my father was arrested. When I asked for the reason for arrest, they refused to let me know.”
She said her father was a friendly man and an active member of RELA as well as the Puchong Security Association.
“He was very active in RELA. Everyone in Puchong knows him because he was a cheerful and kind hearted man. All I want is for this matter to be investigated, and I hope that justice will prevail.”

Breastfeeding Viewed as Potential Terrorist Activity by New York Country Club

Breastfeeding Viewed as Potential Terrorist Activity by New York Country Club (Clickable link)

A friend of mine tagged me in this post he found while surfing I guess..... and I just can´t help but die laughing at the stupidity of the people running the New York Country Club and also the police that was "dragged" in to the scene. So the people in New York actually thinks that everyone who is a mummy uses their kids as a terrorist attack to others? Or did they forget that mummies do need to breast feed their babies also? Or are boobs such a big thing in New York now that it is a terrorist thing?

Ok...... it may not be a right thing to breast feed in broad public ( speaking from coming from a Muslim country where even a little exposure is considered a huge "sin")..... however there is such a thing that is called a breast feeding room, which I have actually seen all around Europe that I have visited.... so, instead of "dumping" your customers and "forcing" them to breast feed in a toilet..... please ensure, especially since you are a Country Club, that you have such a room that is called a breast feeding room for mummies to go to, if you do not want your customers to be breast feeding at their tables.

Ironic how people are getting nowadays!

Happy reading this article

breastfeeding mother booted from glitzy New York country clubWhen ignorance about breastfeeding coincides with an irrational fear of terrorists, what do you get?
A very nasty scene at a ritzy New York Country Club, that’s what!
This is exactly what Belgian diplomat Tom Neijens and his wife Roseline Remans discovered when they stopped by the Metropolis Country Club in White Plains, New York on June 8, 2013 and inquired about having lunch.
Club employees permitted the family to dine on the terrace despite the fact that they weren’t members, whereupon Remans began to discreetly breastfeed her daughter Luka at the table.
Neijens, first secretary of the Belgium Mission to the UN, told the New York Post that a female employee of the club quickly interrupted Roseline’s perfectly legal and proper feeding of her baby with this sharp rebuke:
“Please leave immediately, you are disturbing the members!”
When Neijens protested and said it would only take a few minutes, the female staffer insisted that Remans finish in the restroom.
Understandably incredulous at the blatant ignorance on display at such a high end establishment, Mr. Neijens inquired why a baby would be asked to have lunch in the restroom when adults are not.
The Greenburgh Police Department arrived minutes later with Detective Scott Harding apparently yelling, “Close the doors!” with two other diners ordered to leave the terrace.
Mr. Neijens described the chaotic scene as something straight out of a Western movie with the officer walking around like John Wayne with “one hand on his gun, one hand on his Taser.”
The officer warned the couple that they were trespassing despite the fact that country club staff had given them specific permission to dine.  He also said that some fearful members thought Mr. Neijens’ black backpack indicated they were terrorists.
Most laughable if not actually true, is what the officer came out with next when a tearful Ms. Remans asked why terrorists would breastfeed at a ritzy club:
“In Sri Lanka, babies are used by terrorists.”
Well, you learn something new every day, don’t you?
Attention all breastfeeding mothers. Your milk engorged breasts are actually considered weapons of mass destruction by law enforcement authorities. That liquid is NOT food for your baby. It is actually highly explosive material that could detonate at any time, sparking a chain of events identified by the media as bona fide terrorist activity.
Detective Harding quickly backed off his ridiculous posturing when Mr. Neijens revealed his State Department issued identification.
He dismissed his over the top behavior by explaining that the club had received terrorist threats in the past.
Despite the fact that they were doing nothing illegal or improper and possessed proper identification, the couple was still escorted off the premises via the back door.
A few days later, Mr Neijens sent an e-mail demanding an apology from Country Club general manager Tracy Fraus and assistant general manager Audra Vaccari.
“I am deeply worried about your staff if they cannot distinguish between a European couple looking for a quiet place to breast-feed a baby and suicide terrorists carrying a backpack.”
Lt. B.J. Ryan, a spokesman for the Greenburgh Police Department, labeled the incident as a simple “cultural misunderstanding.”
Ahem. On behalf of breastfeeding mothers everywhere, I beg to differ.
Breasts are not “cultural” and there is no “misunderstanding” their true purpose. They are the universal instrument for optimal feeding of babies.
Not “boob grenades”.
Hard to believe the terrorism handbook didn’t cover this point properly.

The bride that has no shame......

Looking at something different today, I stumbled upon an article that talks about how a bride writes a message to one of her wedding guests and tells them off about the giving of so little "ang pao" during the bride´s wedding. Somehow, I wonder why do people turn and become so greedy nowadays....... not only for weddings, also applying for Chinese New Year when people start criticising and calculating  on the number of "Ang paos" they receive or the amount inside the tiny little red packet........

The world and people has turned so money minded that they don´t even know the word shame anymore. And reading this article proves alot. Entitled " Funny Responses to bride who asks wedding guests why they give only $100 " (Clickable link), this article really shows that this bride doesn´t know her manners at all. The costs of the wedding dinner and such, doesn´t fall on the guests but on the married couple. No one asks them to do such a lavish wedding. And if they do choose it, then it is up to them and both their families (The man and the woman´s family) to bear the burden of the cost!

Lol..... like one of my friend in facebook says *and quote* "That is one hell of a fcked up bitch!"

Happy reading folks!

Funny responses to bride who asked wedding guests why they gave only $100
This article was contributed by the STOMP Team.

A bride rudely questioned wedding guests about their shared gift of $100. This prompted netizens to give their own humorous replies.

The wedding guest, Tanya, went to Huffington Post with her story. She said:
"Last weekend I attended a wedding of a not-close friend with my boyfriend and as a gift we gave $100 cash. This was generous considering my financial situation. I just finished university with $40,000 in student loans, and have only found part time (12-18 hrs per week) minimum wage work. I gave as much as I could and attended to show my support.

"Today I received a rude and condescending message from the bride via Facebook messenger:

"'Hi Tanya, how are you? I just want to know is there any reason or dissatisfaction of Mike's and I wedding that both you and Phil gave 50$ each? In terms of the amount we got from you both was very unexpected as a result we were very much short on paying off the reception because just for the cocktail + reception alone the plate per person is 200$ (as per a normal wedding range with open bar is about) and Mike and I both have already paid for everything else including decor, photography, attire etc and didn't expect we had to cover that huge amount for reception as well. As I know you both live together and work, so I did not see any reason for that amount, when it comes to your wedding hopefully you'll know what I mean. I hope for the best as from what we receive is what we will give back. Anyways, good luck on everything." [all sic]'

"It's infuriating that she had the nerve to make assumptions about my finances, and assume that I or my boyfriend had an extra $400 lying around.

"Those $100 were hard-earned and she didn't show an ounce of gratitude for what she did receive. That money didn't grow on a tree.

"If she had a minimum gift requirement, she should have specified it...or asked everyone for income statements before inviting them."
Meanwhile, netizens responded to the message with their own versions of replies to the bride.

One said, 'I feel sorry for your new husband', while another decided that what is sent via Facebook should be circulated on Facebook: 'I wouldn't say anything but I'd post it on Facebook and tag her. She should be publicly embarrassed for that.' Another suggested selling tickets to the wedding instead.

Experts that Huffington Post spoke to agreed that the bride should not have sent the message as 'The expense and the cost of the wedding is solely the responsibility of the bride, groom, and their families,' and 'There is a disgusting trend emerging where people are not only passing judgment about the gifts they receive, but they are verbalizing it.'

More of BN injustice

Wow, this article... seriously shows extreme usage of BN´s injustice and desperation over remaining in power as the government of Malaysia. Sometimes, I feel I should stop reading the newspaper early in the mornings when I wake up because seeing titles like " You owe BN, Teachers told " (clickable link) on the FMT ( Free Malaysia Today ) webportal is extremely disturbing........ Dear Malaysia government, Since when do any people in Malaysia owe you anything?! It is your job as the current government of Malaysia to do things like improve the welfare of the people living in Malaysia. But that doesn´t make you the creators, the boss or even the owners of the entire country Malaysia.

Or have BN completely lost their minds and heads over the 50 years being in power?! A government is chosen by the people of a country and not vice versa. If you somehow don´t fit the description of being a good government anymore, then it is the people´s rights to choose someone more fitting to the role. However, by late, since the last general election in May 2013....... I somehow am very upset to see how BN / UMNO is seriously becoming. They are now becoming like a selfish child. Reminds me of my daughter or some of the kids I see..... the way they get when someone comes to want to take their toys away...... *omg*..... how old are you guys again?!

I seriously think, with such articles like these..... it´s time for Malaysians to really take a stand and vote for change...... you want someone to govern Malaysia with a fair hand or someone who´s power lunatic like BN / UMNO?

Happy reading folks!

You owe BN, teachers told

FMT Staff

In the nail biting battle for Kuala Besut, Barisan Nasional is throwing its weight and demanding payback from teachers.
BESUT:  Teachers, who’ve come under attack in the recent past, for their alleged support of the opposition are being told that they “owe” the Barisan Nasional ruling government their loyalty.
Reminding them that it is “payback” time, Second Education Minister Idris Jusoh said teachers should support the BN coalition in the upcoming Kuala Besut state by-election.
He said the government was constantly looking after the welfare of teachers.
“Teachers should show their gratitude to the government by supporting the BN.
“There is no reason why teachers should turn their back on the government at the time when we ned their help most,“ he told reporters here.
Idris, a strongman in Besut, has been tasked with ensuring BN retains the seat after it fell vacant following the death of assemblyman Dr A Rahman Mokthar last month.
Rahman won the seat by a 2,434 vote majority. He beat Napsiah Ismail.
BN went on win 17 state seats against PAS 15. However Rahman’s death on June 26 has let the BN state government hanging by the thread.
Idris, who is reportedly responsible for rolling back PAS’ influence in Besut after he took over as Menteri Besar in 2004, is leaving no stones unturned and is bent on upping the BN majority to at least 4,000 in the upcoming by-election.
“The time has come for them (teachers) to help ensure that the BN retain the seat as a gratitude to the government, “ he said alluding to commonly held view  that majority teachers in Terengganu and Besut in particular were PAS supporters.
Besut, not an easy run
Besut was once considered the epicenter of PAS activism in the 1980s and 1990s.
Idris, who is also Kuala Besut deputy election director, is not expecting an easy run.
Besut borders PAS-led Kelantan and the party is expected to make its presence felt in Besut.
“Our strategy is to get closer to the people through house to house campaigns and reminding Kuala Besut voters that  the opposition cannot not bring them prosperity,” Idris said.
The Election Commission yesterday announced that the Kuala Besut by-election will be on July 24 and nomination was set for July 12. Advanced voting will be on July 20.
There are 17,683 voters in the Kuala Besut constituency .

Anastasia - The Real Tragedy Behind 'Anastasia'

It´s a Sunday time out for our family.... today, my girl chose a nice and not Disney Cartoon. Anastasia  (Clickable link) - a production of Fox Animation Studios  - is indeed a very nice cartoon movie to hang out with your family and children who loves watching some happily ever after movies. I remember having this cartoon movie in the form of VHS back home in Malaysia...

However, today, I got more than watching the cartoon movie... I got a tad bit extra curious about the history of Anastasia... and I decided to google it up. Coming up with alot of search results, I decided to settle on one particular website entitled The Real Tragedy Behind 'Anastasia' (Clickable link). Learning a bit of the Russian History is extremely interesting, especially finding it from so many websites.

Anyways... to readers out there, I hope you like this article (copied and pasted from the website above) that you read. A slight insight of the Russian days

Happy Reading =)

The Real Tragedy Behind 'Anastasia'

By Melvin Rhodes

Russian Royal Family
THE PRODUCERS OF THE RECENT full length cartoon movie, "Anastasia" have come under a great deal of criticism for throwing history out the window. By now, people should have grown accustomed to Hollywood's Cartoon Anastasiahistorical rewrites. Sometimes the movie capital falls victim to revisionism, where history is rewritten to be politically correct; sometimes they just alter the facts to make for a more dramatic story.
Whatever the reason this time, "Anastasia" distorts history. Perhaps this is what some parents want -- to hide the real world from their children. But at some point growing children need to be made aware of the major events of history. Eventually those children will be our leaders and those leaders will have to make decisions to preserve our freedoms in a very cruel world. The real world is not a cartoon fantasy.
There is a very real tragedy behind the story of "Anastasia" -- a tragedy that has dominated the twentieth century and is still not over.
The fact is that the real Anastasia was murdered while still a teenager in one of the bloodiest and cruellest acts of a distinctly bloody and cruel century. Tens of millions of others have died along with her.
The story begins at the turn of the century. Nicholas II had been crowned Czar of Russia in 1896 after Nicholas IIascending the throne two years previously. He was the last autocratic ruler left in Europe, a continent still dominated by Kings and Emperors. Only two European countries at the dawn of the twentieth century were republics, France and Switzerland. A number of others had tried republicanism at different times but had all gone back to the monarchical system. Europe at this point in time was the most powerful continent in the world. Europeans and people of European descent dominated the globe. The Czar of Russia alone ruled over one sixth of the world’s land surface. Only the British Empire was bigger, but the Russian Empire was one continuous solid land mass.
Nicholas took over from his autocratic father Alexander III who had died after a brief reign of only thirteen years. His grandfather, Alexander II, had been one of the most progresive Czars, liberating Russia’s serfs on the eve of Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Declaration. Alexander’s decree impacted Russia no less than Lincoln’s in America. For his efforts, he suffered the same fate as the American President, assassination, in 1881. This bloody terrorist activity was witnessed by his son and his grandson Nicholas. Both saw this as the direct result of liberal reform and set their minds against any moves toward democracy.

The real Anastasia was murdered while still a teenager in one of the bloodiest and cruellest acts of a distinctly bloody and cruel century.

Unfortunately for Nicholas, the rest of Europe was democratizing, with the various monarchs having to contend with parliaments and constitutions. But Nicholas II still ruled by " Divine Right", "answerable only to God" -- just like previous Czars. The Romanov royal family itself went back 300 years to 1613, when the coronation of the sixteen year old Michael Romanov ended a period of turmoil known as the "The Time of Troubles." The Romanovs had given stability to Russia, as other monarchies had done elsewhere in Europe.
Most of these royal families were related to each other. Nicholas was closely related to the future King George V of Great Britain and the German Kaiser William II. His wife Alexandra, of the royal house of Hesse in Germany, was the granddaugther of Queen Victoria. Victoria was known as "the Grandmama of Europe," her progeny having married diplomatically in an age when royal marriages cemented alliances and built bridges between nations.
Sadly, family squabbles were to plunge the world into a major conflict in 1914. But not before significant events in Russia itself. Nicholas and Alexandra’s reign got off to a bad start. A collapsed support stand at the Czar’s coronation left hundreds dead and thousands injured. Unaware of the full extent of the tragedy the celebration Coronation Ball went ahead, leaving the impression that the Imperial couple didn’t care about their subjects. Later tragedies included the Bloody Sunday massacre of 1905 when the Czar’s troops opened fire on a peaceful demonstration. This event led to the 1905 Revolution, which in turn led to the establishment of a Duma (parliament or congress), the beginnings of a democratic process, though the Czar still had the last word.
During the next few years Russia enjoyed one of the greatest economic growth rates in the world, under the Prime Ministership of Pyotr Stolypin. Unfortunately, some of the changes left him very unpopular and he was assassinated.
In 1913 the Romanovs celebrated 300 years on Russia’s throne. Everywhere they went crowds turned out in the hundreds of thousands to warmly welcome them. Their popularity had never been greater. Future revolutionary Vladimir Lenin wrote at this time that there was no prospect of an end to the Russian monarchy in his lifetime. Yet less than five years later it was gone.
The royal children were particularly popular. The Czar’s four daughters, Olga, Tatiana, Marie and Ansastasia were beautiful girls. All doted on their younger brother, Alexis, heir to the throne. Behind the facade lay a carefully concealed secret -- Alexis’ haemophilia, threatening the dynasty’s future (at this time only a male could inherit the throne and he was the only male child). This affliction had been passed down to Alexis from his Great Grandmother Victoria, through his mother the Czarina Alexandra.
This accident of history was to play a major part in Russia’s history. Alexis had to be carried constantly so that he would not fall, thereby causing internal bruising and bleeding. Because of his haemophilia, the bleeding would not stop thus causing death. His distraught mother blamed herself. Her anxiety did not help him. But a peaceful, calm, Siberian woodsman, a mystic (not a monk) called Rasputin was able to tell him stories that would calm him and help him recuperate. Rasputin (a Russian nickname which means "debaucherer," an apt description of his wayward lifestyle) became a major influence at court, particularly during World War I when the Czar went to the front and left his wife in charge at home. Rumors began to circulate about Rasputin and the "German woman."

Sadly, family squabbles were to plunge the world into a major conflict in 1914.

One thing led to another and the eventual result was revolution in March 1917, after three years of war with Germany. A provisional (temporary) liberal government came to power under the leadership of Alexander Kerensky. The Czar’s brother the Grand Duke Michael was supposed to be regent.
A few months later this government was violently overthrown as the Bolshevik branch of the Communist Party seized power. Under the leadership of Vladimir Lenin the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) was set up and Russia plunged into a despotism worse than anything it had experienced under the Romanovs.
A few months later, in the city of Yekaterinburg, the Imperial Family was slaughtered. A message had been sent to the world that there was no turning back, that the revolution would go forward. All the children had to die along with the parents, bringing the dynasty to an abrupt and bloody end.
When all were assembled, Yurovsky (secret police leader) re-entered the room, followed by his entire Cheka squad carrying revolvers. He stepped forward and declared quickly, "Your relations have tried to save you. They have failed and we must now shoot you."Nicholas, his arms still around Alexis, began to rise from his chair to protect his wife and son. He had just time to say "What. . .?" before Yurovsky pointed his revolver directly at the Czar’s head and fired. Nicholas died instantly. At this signal, the entire squad of executioners began to shoot. Alexandra had time only to raise her hand and make the sign of the cross before she too was killed by a single bullet. Olga, Tatiana and Marie, standing behind their mother, were hit and died quickly . . .
The room, filled with the smoke and stench of gunpowder, became suddenly quiet. Blood was running in streams from the bodies on the floor. Then there was a movement and a low groan. Alexis, lying on the floor still in the arms of the Czar, feebly moved his hand to clutch his father’s coat. Savagely, one of the executioners kicked the Czarevitch in the head with his heavy boot. Yurovsky stepped up and fired two shots into the boy’s ear. Just at that moment, Anastasia, who had only fainted, regained consciousness and screamed. With bayonets and rifle butts, the entire band turned on her. In a moment, she too lay still. It was ended.
-- Nicholas and Alexandra, by Robert K. Massie (1968)
Rumors began circulating that some of them had survived. Only one such rumor persisted, that a lady fished out of a Berlin canal in 1920 was the Grand Duchess Anastasia. This was never proved. Some years after the death of the lady in the early 1980's, the new post-communist rulers of Russia excavated the bones of the Romanovs. DNA analysis proved once and for all that the deceased Anna Anderson could not have been the Romanov Grand Duchess and that the family was completely eradicated in July 1918.
A tragedy for the Romanovs. But an even greater tragedy for the Russian people and even for tens of millions in other nations.
The fall of the Romanov dynasty led directly to the advent of Communism, which then spread through conquest, civil war, or revolution to many other countries. China, Mongolia, North Korea, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Cuba, and the nations of eastern Europe.
The Romanovs were not the only dynasty to fall. In the same year that the family were assassinated, the ruling houses of Germany and Austria-Hungary (the Hohenzollerns and the Habsburgs) were overthrown, bringing to an end the old order in Europe.
These were replaced by fledgling democracies, democracies that were not to survive the Great Depression in the early 1930's and that were replaced by dictatorships that made the old monarchies look decidedly liberal. Hitler and Stalin replaced the Kaisers of Germany and Austria and the Czar of Russia. Fascism and communism were the new mass hysterias.
StalinOther less powerful dictators came to power elsewhere in Europe, including Mussolini in Italy. All of these dictators only proved the wisdom of King Solomon’s words in Eccl. 10:16-17. "Woe to you O land, when your king is a slave" (somebody from the bottom of society suddenly elevated to great power).
Far from improving conditions in Europe, the fall of the dynasties had left the continent unstable and prone to demagogues, eventually leading to a greater conflict.
The rise of the dictators led to World War II. By 1945, Europe lay in ruins and world supremacy had passed to the United States and the Soviet Union, which now lorded over half of the continent. The Cold War between these two super powers had begun.
Fifty years later that "order" too has vanished -- and a vacuum is left.

The fall of the Romanov dynasty led directly to the advent of Communism, which then spread through conquest, civil war, or revolution to many other countries. China, Mongolia, North Korea, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Cuba, and the nations of eastern Europe.

The real tragedy of Anastasia is that the nations of Europe have not been stable since the collapse of the old dynasties that gave the continent COMPARATIVE stability for hundreds of years. I say "comparative" because no government devised by man is going to bring true stability. That will only come with the Kingdom of God ("of the increase of his kingdom there will be no end"). But in comparing human systems, the great dynasties of Europe provided a solid foundation, stability. Stability has not been in much supply in the twentieth century. Many countries have endured conditions similar to ancient Israel described in Judges 21:25 : "In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes".
France illustrates this lack of stability very well. ( Genesis 49:4: "Unstable as water, you shall not excel".)
In 1789 the French Revolution overthrew the ancien regime, the royal house of Bourbon. A short time later the new republic plunged into chaos. A military coup finally brought some order. The new dictator was then crowned Emperor Napoleon I. He then went on the rampage throughout Europe. Defeated by the British he died in exile. The old regime was brought back but remained unpopular and was then overthrown again in 1830. A new "people’s monarchy" was set up under the Citizen King Louis Philippe. In 1848 he too was removed. The Second Republic was established. Four years later it was replaced by the Second Empire of Napoleon III. That lasted just over twenty years and was replaced by the Third Republic (1871-1940). World War II saw the collaborationist Vichy France in power, followed by the post-war Fourth Republic which collapsed in chaos in 1958. Finally the Fifth Republic was set up by Charles deGaulle who, before his death, contemplated restoring the monarchy as France seemed to be inherently unstable. The Fifth Republic has now lasted almost 40 years, but has had its stresses and strains.
Such instability is typical of many European nations this century (Italy has had over 50 governments since the end of World War II). Instability makes doing business difficult and makes it very difficult for people to plan for their future.
The nations of Eastern Europe that recently broke away from communism still have not worked out governmental systems that will endure. Even those that have probably could not withstand a major problem, such as an economic depression, the great test many failed to pass sixty years ago.
I mentioned earlier the Time of Troubles of early seventeenth century Russia. The chaos and confusion were only brought to an end when the nobles, the aristocrats that dominated the country and that had been squabbling amongst themselves, agreed to crown Michael Romanov as Czar. They couldn’t agree on anybody older. A neutral young man was chosen, each one of the competing nobles hoping to influence him. So began a dynasty that lasted over three centuries.
The lesson is not lost on Russia’s President Boris Yeltsin. YeltsinRussia is in chaos. Nobody has been able to bring it the stability that it enjoyed under the Czars. Communist rule was stable but at a great human price. Reports keep surfacing (the latest in this week’s USN&WR, 12/15/97) that Yeltsin may still restore the dynasty, setting up a constitutional form of government comparable with the British system. Conveniently, the new heir to the Romanov throne is a teenage boy, who could only rule with the help of a Regent (Yeltsin?).
In the near future a decision will have to be made on burying the remains of Anastasia’s family. The city of Yekaterinburg wants to keep them as they have boosted the tourist industry. (Ironically, Boris Yeltsin, when Communist Party Secretary of the city over twenty years ago, ordered the demolition of the Ipatiev House, site of the murders, as it had become a shrine to monarchists.) Moscow, the capital of Russia, would like them buried there. But the most likely burial site is St Petersburg, recently renamed for Peter the Great and the magnificent capital city of Imperial Russia. March 1st 1998 has been pencilled in as a possible date for this solemn ceremony.
A state funeral would rejuvenate monarchist feelings, already fairly high. Polls show a sizeable minority of the people would already like the monarchy restored, incredible when all the anti-monarchist propaganda of the last seventy years is taken into account. The state church, recently boosted by new legislation designed to keep out western churches, is talking of canonising Nicholas and Alexandra on the grounds that they died for their faith. The head of the church has also called for a thorough investigation of the murders, to dispel reports that the assassinations were due to a Jewish-Freemason conspiracy.
There could be further repercussions in the event of a restoration.
Other nations may follow suit. Romania’s former King Michael, overthrown by communists in 1947, has already made a number of visits to the country. The son of the former King of Albania returned there earlier this year (and left again). The sons of other former kings have visited their ancestral homes in eastern europe. All enjoy some support amongst the people, but not enough amongst the ruling elites who fear losing some of their power and influence (much of it due to corruption).

The real tragedy of Anastasia is that the nations of Europe have not been stable since the collapse of the old dynasties.

Most of the Eastern European dynasties do not go back far. The nations themselves broke away from the collapsing Ottoman (Turkish) Empire towards the end of the 1870's. The new nations needed to emphasize their sovereignty quickly and one of the best ways to assure independence is by having your own King. As they had none of their own, they imported Kings from Germany. Until 1870 Germany had been disunited with many princes, kings and grand dukes ruling over small territories. Following war with France, Germany united under the Prussian Kaisers. Suddenly royals needed new thrones and the eastern european market was opening up. Later, this was to give Germany major influence throughout the region as many of her princes were suddenly elevated to sit on new thrones (Isa 10:8 "Are not my princes altogether kings?").
Revelation 17:12 is particularly interesting in this context. The prophecied future union of ten kings could simply be ten nations or groups of nations coming together under ten leaders not chosen as yet. But it could be talking of ten literal kings. Most of Europe’s royal families are inter-related. One of the quickest ways to bring the European nations together would be through their royal houses -- one big family reunion, in fact. (Politicians are not beyond using the royals to get what they want.)
Restoring the monarchies would seem like a restoration of Europe’s golden age. It would provide the respectability for European Union that politics has only diminshed. It could, should there be a future time of political instability, help restore order.
Verse 13 goes on to add that these ten kings then "give their power and strength unto the beast".
There is more than one precedent for this.
The German Empire in 1871 was composed of many kings and dukes, who all "voluntarily" gave up their power and independence to the Kaiser of the new Empire. The medieval Holy Roman Empire had an Emperor, under whom were many kings and other nobles ruling over various territories all subordinate to the Empire. The British Empire had kings and paramount chiefs within it, subservient to the King-Emperor in London.

The prophecied future union of ten kings could simply be ten nations or groups of nations coming together under ten leaders not chosen as yet.

Before the collapse of the dynasties in 1918 European monarchs ruled over nations populated by diverse peoples. The Emperor of Austria was also King of Hungary. Included amongst his subjects were Poles, Czechs, Slovaks, Slovenes, Serbs, Italians and others. The collapse of the empires led to these people wanting their own independent nations, creating new nation states in middle europe that were so weak they could not stand up to Hitler or Stalin. The Emperor Franz Joseph II had predicted this himself in 1904, "The Monarchy is not an artificial creation but an organic body. It is a place of refuge, an asylum for all those fragmented nations scattered over central Europe who, if left to their own resources would lead a pitiful existence, becoming the playthings of more powerful neighbours." (See "Twilight of the Habsburgs" by Alan Palmer, page 349.)
The European Union today, like the old dynastic empires of Europe and the Holy Roman Empire before them, is enabling nation states to come together for greater ecnomic, political and even military security. It is the perfect solution for preserving national identity within the warmth and security of a new super-power.
The hope of the founders of the EU was that the nations of Europe would never go to war again. This century has seen Europe devastated by war, two of them world wars that left 90% of Europe’s heritage destroyed and the continent reduced from world dominance to second and third class status. Nothing has yet filled the void left by the fall of the dynasties. Anastasia’s bloody end, along with the other members of her family, is a type of the tragedy that has befallen all of Europe. In the minds of many Europeans, the European Union will bring this tragic century to a close. Scripture, however, shows it will bring about yet another major conflagration, culminating in the end of European civilization and the return of Jesus Christ as the Supreme Monarch, the "King of Kings and Lord of Lords".

Lies, misuse of the citizens' money and cover-ups

Sometimes, you just can´t help but wonder.......is the job of the government merely to lie and misuse and abuse the trust of the citizens? Reading this article that I found on the FMT (Free Malaysia Today) webportal is very disturbing..... Disturbing because it shows so clearly how much the government, aka BN/UMNO , is lying to all the citizens of Malaysia and........ wasting the tax payers money on unnecessary items.

Link : Lies, Misuse of our money and cover-ups (Clickable link)

And yet, they (the government) insists on "punishing" the people because they didn´t want to vote BN during the previous elections. So who and how should the citizens punish the government for the misleading ways the government has shown to them? How did Malaysia become more and more "pathetic" in the years passing by? Where was the Malaysia I grew up knowing? The over friendly ways of everyone, not caring the skin color or race? Has power gone so high up in your heads that you don´t know the meaning of "humanity"?

There is simply too much dirt that has been swept under the carpet by BN, with the help of the local authorities, like in the case of custodial deaths.
COMMENT
It has been two months since the 13th general took place. And in the 60 days since, the rakyat are witnessing the ‘incompetency’ of the Barisan Nasional federal government in calling the shots.
The incompetency aside, it is the hidden agenda of the BN government that has made the people realise that they made the right choice by lending support to opposition, Pakatan Rakyat in a big way.
While Pakatan toils to set things right, its rival BN keeps replaying the worst nightmare of the people, i.e. gay abandonly going about misusing authority and public funds.
First, there was the much-debated subject concerning the indelible ink which was used for the first time in the country’s general election, that too after great pressure from electoral reforms activists.
Then it turned out that the RM6 million spent on mysteriously purchasing the ink was actually used to buy ink that is edible!
Looks like BN never took all calls for electoral reforms, with the use of the indelible ink being one of them, seriously, going by the fact that it used eating substance to dupe voters into believing that BN was genuinely concerned about tackling the malaise of multiple voters come elections.
From the ink being hazardous to health to otherwise and now with the revelation that the ink can be licked at no ‘cost’ to one’s health has put BN in a shamefully disgusting spot.
Lies after lies to cover up the truth about the indelible ink and to hide the source who supplied it – yet Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin continues to insult the intelligence of the people by defending the Election Commission, whom the rakyat have lost all faith in.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Shahidan Kassim had at first told PAS’s Kuala Krai MP Dr Hatta Ramli that the indelible ink used during the polls contained elements of silver nitrate at the level of one per cent.
But recently, Shahidan in his written reply to DAP’s Segambut MP Lim Lip Eng declared that the indelible ink was devoid of chemicals and contained only food colouring is the final straw that has broken the camel’s back,  as far as the rakyat and their trust in the election regulator goes.
Lies, misuse of taxpayers money and cover-ups – need there be any further reason for the rakyat to demand that heads must roll at EC?
BN’s machiavellian acts not pardonable
There is simply too much dirt that has been swept under the carpet by BN, with the help of the local authorities, like in the case of custodial deaths.
When a very senior judge reproached the present Inspector-General of Police and then Selangor police chief Khalid Abu Bakar for his damning act in causing the death of a detainee, A Kugan while in police custody four years ago, there was hardly a murmur of compliment from BN or more precisely Umno over the ‘justice’ delivered by judge VT Singham.
Not only did the High Court judge find Khalid guilty for causing Kugan’s death, he also awarded the deceased’s family, a judgment which has not gone down well at all with the ‘powers that be’.
Days after delivering a damning verdict, Justice Singam decided to call it quits, claiming he wanted to take a break from the legal fraternity and the judiciary.
The rakyat, however, knows better as to who and what forced Singham to big adieu.
Previously, Justice Singham had been the target of Malay right wing group Perkasa which had cast aspersion on the judge’s sexual orientation, political leanings as well as his past judgments in an article published in its website.
Perkasa had claimed that Justice Singham was biased towards opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim in his defamation suit against Utusan Malaysia.
On Jan 21,  the judge ruled that Utusan Malaysia had defamed Anwar in two articles pertaining to the PKR leader’s interview with BBC on homosexual laws.
With an honourable judge out of the way, it  now makes it all the more easier for BN/Umno to partake in many more malfeasances.
Punish the rakyat, truth-seekers
Truth be told the rakyat does have a big, big problem with BN because the federal government under its patronage refuses to do anything by the book.
From appointing a cop who breaks the law as the nation’s police chief to denying the families of detainees’ murdered at the hands of the police any right to compensation to refusing to set up an independent agency to investigate all wrongdoings by the police, the BN government is telling the people loud and clear that it is not here to listen to their woes and to serve them; rather, it has become a case of BN ‘working for itself’.
No surprise then why Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak has adopted the ‘silence is golden’ stand on all these recent events, particularly that which revealed that Khalid had a hand in Kugan’s death.
On the contrary, the rakyat are being punished for standing up for the truth, as they did in the 13th general election when they denied BN the much needed two-third victory.
From denying them an IPCMC (Independent Police Complaints and Misconduct Commission) to the shut down of MCA service centres to closing down Malacca’s most famous Jonker street’s weekend nightmarket better known as Jonker Walk, it is telling that the BN government has slowly but surely turned vindictive towards the rakyat, all because the people favoured truth and democracy over money politics, corruption and cronyism.

MP wants AirAsia’s Azran to leave country for criticising Utusan

So..... basically, as a small summarize, one can sum up that whoever, everyone and anyone that isn´t on the same side with the government of Malaysia, BN and UMNO are being "forced" to leave the country? Finding and reading this article brings up alot of amusement to me... I seriously just can´t help but laugh at the MPs and those people in Malaysia, yea... the same people who are supposedly ruling and leading the country (to her doom or to her glory?!)......  Seriously people..... if you all keep asking the people to leave the country just because they speak their mind (where is this so called democracy and freedom of speech you people are so proudly boasting about?) and such..... how many people will actually be left in Malaysia then?! I seriously can´t help but ponder as to how did you guys elect your MPs if all of them are behaving so ......"oddball" like.

Found this Link  :  MP Want AirAsia´s Azran to leave Country for Criticising Utusan (Clickable link) from the Malaysian Insider Webportal today and couldn´t help but post this back up here....... Come on guys.......... grow up will ya?! Your "If you do this I don´t friend you" attitude is rather annoying and embarrassing on the whole....

Biasanya, orang maju ke depan bukannya maju ke belakang.......

Happy reading folks, and happy Tuesday!

MP wants AirAsia’s Azran to leave country for criticising Utusan

BY JENNIFER GOMEZ
JULY 02, 2013
Barisan Nasional's Kinabatangan MP Datuk Bung Mokhtar Radin today urged AirAsia X chief executive Azran Osman Rani to leave the country for criticising Utusan Malaysia.
Calling Azran "melayu biadap" while debating the royal address in Parliament this morning, Bung Mokhtar said Azran should move if he was not happy in Malaysia.
However, speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia advised the controversial Bung Mokhtar not to use his parliamentary privilege to launch attacks on civilians and government officers who were not in the house to defend themselves.
Azran had earned Utusan Malaysia's displeasure after he had criticised the Bahasa Malaysia daily's "Apa Lagi Cina Mau" story following the general election story when Barisan Nasional had its worst result since independence.
This led the newspaper to take aim at him and boycott advertising from the airline that he helms.
However, CIMB Group CEO Datuk Nazir Razak came to his defence.
Nazir praised Azran for his forthright attitude, saying that it was a "mark of a leader".
Nazir's defence of Azran promptly saw Utusan Malaysia label Nazir as "anti-Malay".  - July 2, 2013.
